This is a time-based piece exploring the artist’s relationship to their work, as well as the impact one’s surroundings have on them. Three identical figures were cast and put through different circumstances. One was left outside, unfired, for 50 days, vulnerable to the elements. Each day the change was documented in a photograph and the day marked with a ceramic spike in the ground. Another casting was fired normally as a control, and the last was destroyed by the artist using various tools and their hands.
